⇒ (x + y) + (w + z) = 360°
⇒ (x + y) + (x + y) = 360° (Given x + y = w + z)
⇒ 2(x + y) = 360°
⇒ (x + y) = 180°
Hence, x + y makes a linear pair. Therefore, AOB is a staright line.
