A square conducting coil ... -Eduinfy.com
MCQ Solution: Electromagnetic Induction

A square conducting coil of area =100cm2 is placed normally inside a uniform magnetic field of 103 Wbm−2. The magnetic flux linked with the coil is ____________ Wb.

1) 10
2) 10−5
3) 105
4) 0

Solution

Magnetic flus is given by $$\vec{B}.\vec{A}$$
$$\Rightarrow$$ $$\phi = BA\cos\theta$$
Now given, $$B=10^3 Wbm^{-2}, A = 100 cm^2 = 0.01 m^2, \theta= 0 ^{0} $$(Given coil is placed normally so area vector will be in the direction of field)
So, $$\phi = 10^3\times 0.01 \times\cos0^0 = 10 Wb$$
